FAQ

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

The things people ask me before they start. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Do I need gym experience to start?

+

No. Beginners often progress fastest with this approach, because you learn to feel the muscle working before you ever chase heavy weight. Your intake tells me exactly where you're starting and the program is built from there.

What if I only have dumbbells at home?

+

That's fine. Your intake asks what equipment you have access to, and your program is written for that. Tension and tempo work with almost anything — limited equipment mostly changes exercise selection, not results.

How many days a week do I need to train?

+

Tell me what you can realistically commit to and I'll build around it. A program you actually finish beats a perfect program you skip.

Why don't you count reps?

+

Reps are a byproduct. What drives adaptation is the tension the muscle holds and the tempo you apply. We prescribe sets, tempo and cues, and let the reps land where the tension says they should.

The scale went up. Am I getting fat?

+

If your lifts are climbing at the same time, that's muscle. This is the single most common reason people quit right when their body starts responding. Your progress screen shows what you can now do — not just a number — and we talk about it.

How do I reach you between sessions?

+

You can write to me any time in the app. I answer during set office hours — Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6–8 PM PT — so every reply is a real answer instead of a rushed one. Urgent form or pain questions always get priority.

How does the app work?

+

Once you're a client you get an invite code and your own login. Your program, today's session, your cues, your logs, your reflections and your progress all live there — on your phone or your laptop.

What does coaching cost?

+

It's quoted per person, because the work isn't identical for everyone. Apply and I'll give you a straight answer on cost and commitment before you spend anything.
