About
SARO KANAAN
I'm a private personal trainer and coach. I work with people who are ready to stop going through the motions and start understanding what their body is actually doing under a weight.

My training style is a little unorthodox. I don't focus on the number of reps. I focus on the tension you place on the muscle and the tempo you apply to that tension — stressing it in a way that signals your body to adapt. Reps are just what happens along the way.
I also want you to feel your body out. To recognise when a weight isn't heavy enough and want more, because you've seen what more weight does for you. That shift — from doing what you're told to asking for the next step — is the whole game. Once a client gets there, my job gets a lot easier.
The other thing I care about is what happens between sessions. A bigger number on the scale isn't a failure; if your lifts are climbing, that's muscle. Most people give up right at the moment their body starts working, because nobody explained what they were looking at. I'd rather shift the mindset than watch someone quit on progress they already earned.
Everything I coach comes back to the same idea: exercise, functionality, mobility, strength and muscle are how you build the best version of yourself — then maintain it, level it up, and keep moving forward. Every day.
“REMEMBER TO MOVE.”
Tension. Tempo. Transformation.
